Open wp-content and upload the files and folders in this folder from your computer to the corresponding folder on your web space.

But before we dive into the tutorial, let’s take a look at why you’d want to update Word Press manually in the first place. But what do you do if the Word Press admin panel is inaccessible?
A common workaround for this problem is to update Word Press manually using an FTP client.
If it does not exist Wordpress should insert the entry into the table. However, if there already is an entry in the mysql table, Wordpress should update the table, but this does not work.
Here’s how: Head over to the official Word website and click on the blue section, your website will have successfully updated to the latest release of Word Press. However, some releases may require you to update the Word Press database as well.
